The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) has announced Eid Al-Fitr vacations for private-sector employees from 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal.
The Eid holidays will begin on Thursday, April 20, and end on Sunday, April 23, according to the Gregorian calendar, giving citizens four days off.
The announcement, according to the MoHRE, is compatible with the UAE Cabinet’s decision to grant equal official public holidays to commercial and public sector personnel.
If Ramadan lasts 30 days instead of 29, residents will receive an extra day off on Monday, April 24. The day of Eid will be announced by the country’s moon sighting commission. People might anticipate either a four-day or a five-day vacation.
According to the International Astronomical Centre (IAC) of the UAE, 3 Shawwal is most likely to fall on 23 April this year, indicating a 29-day Ramadan in the country.
Eid Al-Fitr Holidays in Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MoHRSD) has also scheduled the Eid Al-Fitr holidays for the business and non-profit sectors. The Eid holiday will be from Friday, April 21 to Tuesday, April 25.
Similarly, workers will have another four-day holiday for Eid Al-Adha this year, according to Saudi executive laws of labor laws.
