Currently, the price of Solar panels in Pakistan is the lowest it has ever been, ranging between Rs30 and Rs32 per watt.
This is mostly attributed to overproduction in the local market and the global decline in lithium battery prices, affecting the international price for solar panels.
In the last year, the international lithium battery price has reduced by almost 50%, drastically reducing the Pakistan solar panel prices.
Dry battery prices have only slightly decreased or stabilized, as importers have been slow to bring the cost benefits of lower global prices to local buyers.
The solar energy industry in Pakistan improved after 2023 due to the import facility Given to Pakistan by China, high electricity tariffs, lower cost of solar panels, and increased demand for net metering systems all over Pakistan.
