The Sindh Department of Education has officially declared the commencement of winter vacations for all educational institutions within the province. This announcement specifies that the winter break will begin on December 22, 2023.
According to the notification issued by the education department, this recess period will extend until December 31, 2023. Consequently, schools, colleges, and universities—both private and government-run—are scheduled to reopen on January 1, 2024.
This decision comes as temperatures in the region continue to drop with each passing day, marking the seasonal shift into winter.
While Sindh has made its winter vacation plans public, it is noted that the provincial government in Punjab and other provinces had not yet announced their respective schedules for winter vacations in schools and other educational institutions at the time of the announcement.
