SBP Announces Bank Holiday on 3 July 2023

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has declared a bank holiday for Monday, July 3, 2023.

The central bank declared in an announcement that the “State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public transaction on 3rd July 2023 (Monday), which shall be regarded as a Bank Holiday.”

It went on to say, “All banks / DFIs / MFBs shall, therefore, stay closed for public dealing on the previously mentioned date.”

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has stated that workers of all banks, DFIs, and MFBs would report to work as normal.

It is worth noting that the SBP has already declared bank holidays for Eid-ul-Adha from June 28th to 30th, 2023 (Wednesday to Friday).

It implies that the SBP and other commercial banks would be closed for six days (including the weekend).
