After the Dhul Al-Hijjah crescent moon was observed in the country on June 18, Saudi Arabia announced Eid Al-Adha 2023 dates.
Arafat Day will be marked on Tuesday, June 27th, followed by Eid Al-Adha on Wednesday, June 28th, according to the official announcement.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE), along with other Muslim countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, is likely to announce Eid Al-Adha dates today.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department, popularly known as the Met Office, anticipated the moon’s birth on June 18 at 9:37 PM, with the moon becoming visible on June 19.
In this regard, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Pakistan’s moon sighting authority, would host a meeting for moonsighting today at the Met office in Karachi. The meeting will be presided over by the Committee’s Chairman, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
Furthermore, zonal and district committees will meet at their respective offices at the same time. Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia, on the other hand, have announced Eid Al-Adha on Thursday, June 29.
