Quaid-i-Azam University Announces Winter Break

Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) has announced its schedule for winter vacations starting later this month.

QAU administration stated that the university will remain closed from December 26th through January 1st, 2024 for winter break. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.

The winter holidays apply to all students and faculty at the public research university’s main campus in Islamabad.

Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has notified all private schools in Islamabad that they will be closed for winter vacations from December 25th to the 29th.

The caretaker government in Balochistan province has also declared over two months of winter vacation for schools in winter zones, spanning 76 days from December 16th, 2023 to February 29th, 2023.

The annual winter breaks provide students and faculty a chance to rest and recharge before the spring academic session. Most educational institutions across Pakistan observe winter holidays for one to two weeks in late December and early January.
