Qatar Announces Long Vacation for Eid Al-Fitr

Qatar has planned an 11-day holiday for Eid Al-Fitr, from April 19 to April 27. Amiri Diwan, a Qatari government organization, made the statement.

While the weekend is observed in Qatar on Friday and Saturday, all employees will return to work on Sunday, April 30, giving them an 11-day break for Eid.

Qatar’s ministries, government entities, and public institutions have been given the day off.

However, the Governor of the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) is anticipated to determine the precise start and end dates for the QCB, financial institutions, and banks subject to QCB and Qatar Financial Markets Authority oversight.

UAE Eid Al-Fitr Holidays

Earlier, the UAE scheduled a four-day holiday for private and public sector employees on Eid Al-Fitr, beginning on Thursday, April 20, and concluding on Sunday, April 23.

If Ramadan lasts 30 days instead of 29, residents would have an additional vacation on Monday, April 24, giving them a 5-day break.

The country’s moon sighting commission will reveal the precise day for Eid. So, people can anticipate either a four-day or a five-day respite.

According to the UAE’s International Astronomical Centre (IAC), 3 Shawwal is most likely to fall on 23 April this year, resulting in a 29-day Ramadan.
