Punjab announces new timings for Schools and Colleges

With the end of the summer vacation season of schools in Punjab just days away on August 15, 2025, uncertainty prevails whether school vacations will be extended. Although Punjab government has not yet made an official announcement confirming or denying the extension of the summer break, rumors have been circulating. Parents and students are still in wait-and-see mode as the date nears.

The original notification issued in May 2025 mentioned that all government and private schools and colleges in Punjab will be open to take classes, as usual, starting August 15.

Government has also announced updated school timings for the upcoming session in expectation of reopening.

Schools timings from 15 August

Single Shift Schools

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Double Shift Schools

• Morning Shift (Mon–Thu): 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM
• Morning Shift (Friday): 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM
• Evening Shift (Mon–Thu): 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
• Evening Shift (Friday): 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
