Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has announced a substantial reduction in the prices of Kia vehicles, with some models seeing a decrease of up to Rs. 500,000. This decision comes in the wake of the recent appreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.
The price reduction was officially declared in a press release by LMC and is applicable from October 6, 2023. The Sorento variants – 3.5L FWD, 2.4L AWD, and 2.4FWD – have seen the most significant price drop, with each model’s cost being reduced by Rs. 500,000. Other models such as the Picanto AT, Sportage FWD, Sportage AWD, and Sportage Black Limited Edition have also seen price reductions ranging from Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 350,000.
Model | Old Price (PKR) | New Price (PKR) | Difference (PKR) |
Picanto AT | 3,950,000 | 3,850,000 | -100,000 |
Sportage FWD | 8,190,000 | 8,040,000 | -150,000 |
Sportage AWD | 8,920,000 | 8,770,000 | -150,000 |

Sorento 3.5L FWD | 11,790,000 | 11,290,000 | -500,000 |
However, it’s important to note that these revised prices are exclusively for customers who opt for the full payment option. Additionally, any new or additional duties and taxes imposed by the government at the time of delivery will be borne by the customer.
This strategic move by LMC is expected to boost the sales of Kia cars in the market, making them more affordable for a wider range of customers. However, potential buyers should be aware of the terms and conditions associated with this price reduction to make an informed purchase decision.
