Using a new TikTok filter, users are going viral by turning their names, or any other word, into emojis.
No matter how many emojis we have across platforms and devices, people are always craving more. Yet this was not even enough considering Apple just announced users will be able to make their own emojis, via AI.
TikTok has rolled out a new filter that lets users customize their own personalized emojis by typing their names.
It has gone viral on TikTok thanks to its ability to pull custom emojis and has been used over 748.6 thousand times already. You will be able to try this yourself.
How to turn your name into an emoji on TikTok
To join the trend, you will have to first download the free TikTok app on your device.
- Open TikTok.
- Go to your account.
- Click on the magnifying glass icon.
- Search for Nam as Emoji.
- Look for a video using the filter.
- It will be ‘Name as Emoji,’ with an orange star above their username.
- Tap on it and then select ‘Use this effect.’
- Switching emojis for names is the one where you write out your name or whatever else you want to turn into an emoji.
- See each letter you add to change the emoji until you are done.
You can use this filter whether you are filming your reaction or not. To record yourself while making your emoji just set the time range of your video you would like to film and press the record to start.
