    Dum Pukht Gosht Recipe – Awadhi food includes Dum Pukht Gosht. It translates to “slow oven” in Persian. Dum Pukht Gosht is cooked slowly in a sealed container, allowing the flesh to simmer in its own fluids. To make the ideal Dum Pukht Gosht, combine mutton, oil, chiles, pepper, yogurt, and Garam Masala. This outstanding and tasty Dum Pukht Gosht is suitable for dinners and lunch. It’s also suitable for Eid tonight. parties. This recipe is famous in northern regions because it is served to guests. It takes 60 minutes to prepare and serves four persons.

    Ingredients

    1. • Mutton 1 kg
    2. • Ilaichi 4-5 ct
    3. • Onion 4-5 slices
    4. • Red peppers 7-10 whole
    5. • Yogurt 1/2 kg
    6. • Garam masala 2 tbsp
    7. • Salt 1 1/2 tsp
    8. • Oil 1/2 cup
    9. • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
    10. • Cook time= 60mints & Serves= 4person

    Method

    • Put mutton, oil, onion, and red chilies in pan, mix garam masala in yogurt and pour over meat mixture. Cook (uncovered) on high heat for about 10 minutes. Add salt, ilaichi and garlic paste. Seal the pan and lid with flour (if not using pressure cooker), and cook on very low heat for 45 minutes. If water has not dried, cook on high heat till it does and only thick gravy is left. Do not stir hard. Serve garnished with coriander.
