Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has entered into a partnership with Binance, the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange. This collaboration was announced by Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ), who revealed that Ronaldo’s second exclusive non-fungible token (NFT) collection would be launched on July 3.
This partnership between Ronaldo, widely recognized as one of the greatest footballers in history, and Binance is expected to create a buzz among both football fans and cryptocurrency enthusiasts. The upcoming NFT collection, named “ForeverCR7: The GOAT”, is a tribute to Ronaldo’s impressive record of scoring 838 career goals to date. The collection consists of 29,327 NFTs, featuring 20 unique designs divided into four rarity levels: Normal (N), Rare (R), Super Rare (SR), and Super Super Rare (SSR).
A special design has been crafted exclusively for the Super Super Rare (SSR) NFTs, of which only seven exist. These exceptional SSR NFTs offer unique benefits, including the opportunity to participate in a training session with Cristiano Ronaldo himself, among other exciting privileges.
The six SSR NFTs will be sold in a 48-hour auction starting at 14:00 UTC on July 3, with an opening bid of 15,000 USDT. The final SSR NFT will be set aside for an exclusive giveaway event. The SSR NFTs have attracted considerable interest due to the rewards and utility associated with owning them. These perks include automatic entry into future giveaways, a printable signed Binance x CR7 poster, a personalized video from Ronaldo discussing the goal captured in the NFT, a Binance football shirt autographed by Ronaldo, tickets to an upcoming Binance Blockchain Week event, and the ultimate prize—an in-person training session with Cristiano Ronaldo.
This move by Ronaldo follows Matchday, a groundbreaking Web3 gaming startup, securing support from Lionel Messi, often considered Ronaldo’s fiercest competitor. Messi’s venture capital firm, Play Time, has shown its confidence in the startup’s potential by making a substantial investment in its $21 million seed fund.
