British Council Canceled O-Level & A-Level Exams Across Pakistan

All O and A-level exams scheduled for today (Wednesday) have been canceled owing to security concerns in the country.

According to the British Council, the decision to suspend O and A-level examinations was made after a careful assessment of the situation. The major purpose was to ensure the safety of applicants, their parents, and staff members in the event of an unexpected scenario.

In addition to the O and A-level exams, the IELTS English language test and the University of London exams have been canceled.

According to a Cambridge International spokesperson, the cancellation of examinations in Pakistan was because it was a global exam. They provided a provision for students who missed an exam due to legitimate circumstances. In such cases, the results for the absent examination are awarded based on past exam performance in the same subject field.

According to a Cambridge official, decisions on exams scheduled for the day after tomorrow would be taken dependent on the situation in Pakistan. The official went on to state that they will make a daily decision on whether to hold or cancel any upcoming papers.
