Baluchistan Board BBISE Quetta has announced the introduction of e-marking for certain subjects in the 2024 matriculation (SSC) and intermediate (HSSC) annual exams. E-marking was successfully trialed by BBISE Quetta in computer science subjects in 2023.
Encouraged by the results, BBISE Quetta will now expand e-marking to Economics and Education at the matric level and all commerce group electives at the intermediate level for the 2024 exams.

E-marking allows examiners to grade digital copies of answer sheets on a computer. BBISE Quetta has found e-marking to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in the grading process.
- Matric level subjects: Economics 9th & 10th, Education 9th & 10th
- Inter level subjects: Commerce group all elective subjects
If the 2024 rollout goes smoothly, BBISE Quetta plans to eventually transition all matric and intermediate subjects to e-marking over the next few years. Board expects e-marking to produce faster results and make the entire process more efficient for students, teachers, and examiners alike.
