
Today, the Azad Kashmir government presented its budget of Rs. 163.70 billion. It has been recommended that Rs. 28.50 billion be put aside for development projects.
Azad Jammu & Kashmir Budget 23-2024
A 15% rise in government employee pay and pensions is expected, with Rs 28.50 billion set aside for development projects. This morning, at 10:30 a.m., the Legislative Assembly will meet.
The budget is expected to spend Rs 1.75 billion on health, Rs 3.20 billion on education, Rs 10 billion on communications, and Rs 4.80 billion on physical planning and housing.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir budget 2023-24
In Azad Kashmir, the ruling party, the PML-N, will propose its final budget to the Legislative Assembly. The budget recommends a maximum allocation of Rs. 10 billion for the transport and communication sector. Muzaffarabad, Rawalpindi, and Mirpur will be designated as model cities as part of an Rs. 2.5 billion capital divisional development plan.
The finances for the Prime Minister’s Community Infrastructure Program have been cut by half in the next budget. The budget includes funding for the construction of a 200-bed hospital and trauma center in Muzaffarabad.
To encourage tourism, a Tourism Development Authority will be established, and a 22-megawatt Jagran Four project would be initiated to increase electricity generation.
