When a stray cat delivered birth to a litter of kittens in one of the galleries within Parliament House, it was a stunning event. Visitors and employees alike have commented on the infants’ meowing.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time animals have been observed on the grounds of Parliament House. A monkey was observed strolling around on the building’s top only last week, sparking quite a buzz online as a video of the incident went viral on social media.
Similarly, a naughty Cevit Cat, also known as ‘Mushk Balao’ in the local language, crept into the offices and created havoc until being rescued by Capital Development Authority (CDA) workers and released back into its native home last month.
It appears that the Parliament House has recently become a wildlife hotspot. The sight of animals roaming about within the structure is undoubtedly a one-of-a-kind event that will live on in people’s minds for a long time.
