Agricultural Finance Redefined: Digitt+ and U Microfinance Bank Collaborate in Strategic Bank-Fintech Partnership

A game-changing PKR billion partnership, involving U Micro Bank and Digitt+, is transforming financial collaborations in the agriculture sector.

This partnership brings together Digitt+’s modern in-house payment infrastructure with the Bank’s extensive lending expertise, marking a new era of personalized financial solutions designed for Pakistani farmers.

Both organizations have distributed PKR 500 million to farmers in DI Khan, Kanjwani, and Muzaffargarh, and their shared objective is to make financial transactions. By improving the efficiency of financial transactions and giving farmers faster access to resources, this program helps them become more self-sufficient and productive in their revenue and financial stability.

Ahmed Saleemi, CEO of Digitt+, expressed, “This partnership exemplifies the transformative impact that can be achieved when fintech and traditional banking join forces. By amalgamating our specialized payment platforms with U Bank’s financial services, we are establishing a benchmark for the fintech and banking industries to follow.”

Mr. Mohamed Essa Al Taheri, President & CEO of U Bank, affirmed, “Our collaboration with Digitt+ epitomizes our commitment to innovation and value delivery in the Pakistani agricultural landscape. The successful disbursement of the initial PKR 500 million is just the beginning of our journey. We are dedicated to leveraging this partnership to enhance the financial well-being of farmers nationwide.”

The payment cycles for farmers have been reduced due to this strategic relationship, improved their cash flow management, and allowed them to reinvest in their agricultural activities much faster. For the agricultural sector to thrive and remain in business, this improved flow of capital is important.

U Bank and Digitt+ remain steadfast in their dedication to advancing this initiative, extending its reach to additional regions, and meeting the full commitment of PKR 10 billion in support of agricultural finance redefined.
