The University of Health Sciences (UHS) in Pakistan is gearing up for its annual Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in 2023. This examination is a crucial step for students across the country who aspire to pursue careers in medicine or dentistry. The roll number slip, an essential document for registration, has been issued to all candidates.
The UHS MDCAT is a standardized test that evaluates candidates’ knowledge, skills, and aptitude for medical and dental professions. It covers a range of subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English. Passing this examination is a prerequisite for gaining admission into both public and private medical and dental colleges in Pakistan.
Candidates who are set to take the MDCAT in 2023 have received their roll number slips from UHS. To download these slips, candidates should visit the official UHS website at www.uhs.edu.pk. The written exams will be conducted at various locations including Jamshoro University in Hyderabad, Indorun Sindh, Bilawal Sports Complex in Nawabshah, and Khairpur.
In addition to these locations, the UHS will also hold entrance exams in eight major cities across Punjab on November 13. To accommodate a large number of candidates, 26 centers will be opened in cities such as Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and Sialkot.
The UHS MDCAT 2023 has seen a significant number of registrations from across the country. All 204,253 registered candidates have received their admit cards at their homes. This includes 43,994 from Sindh, 83,142 from Punjab, 17,825 from Islamabad, 46,229 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 46,229 from Balochistan. Additionally, 9238 candidates have registered from Gilgit, 2718 from Azad Kashmir, and 462 are foreign nationals.
Due to a nationwide flood crisis, the MDCAT test for MBBS and BDS admissions in medical and dental colleges was delayed by two months. However, both tests will now be administered concurrently on November 13 in Sindh province.
UHS MDCAT 2023 is a pivotal event for aspiring medical and dental professionals in Pakistan. With the roll number slips now available for download, candidates are one step closer to realizing their dreams of pursuing a career in the medical or dentistry industries.
