The government of Punjab has launched a program to provide students with bikes through an affordable payment plan. There will be an initial distribution of 20,000 bikes, with 1,000 being electric bikes and 19,000 being fuel-powered bikes.
Electric bikes are a great way to reduce pollution, according to the chief minister of Punjab. Electric bikes will be available, but we will also supply fuel-powered bikes in case issues like low mileage or theft of batteries arise. Affordable Installments
Students can relax more to know that the down payment is now just Rs. 20,000 and that the monthly installments will only be close to Rs. 5,000. The planned start date for bike distribution is May 2024.
Recognition for High Achievers Students
To acknowledge brilliant students, an innovative scheme will be instituted that will grant them bikes. The monthly payment for a bike powered by fuel will be under Rs. 5,000 and for an electric bike, it would be under Rs. 10,000. Male students are allotted 70% of the quota in rural areas, while female students receive 30%.

The deadline for applications is April 29, 2024, and the portal is already open for submissions. Online applications are available.
