The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has recently made an announcement that will bring relief to many candidates for this year’s Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT). The council has decided to allow candidates to make last-minute changes to their registration details, including the choice of test venue or university they wish to join. This decision comes in response to a delay in the notification of admitting universities from the Federal Government.
This year’s MDCAT is expected to see around 200,000 candidates. As of now, 164,519 candidates have already submitted their registration forms. Out of these, 121,139 have successfully completed the process, while 43,380 are still in the final confirmation phase.
To facilitate a smooth registration process, PMDC has provided multiple payment options for candidates. They can pay their fees through debit and credit cards or by using a fee voucher at any branch of MCB Bank Limited across the country. The IT and examination department of PMDC is actively working to resolve any issues faced by candidates until the application deadline of 31 July 2023. For those who miss this deadline, late registrations will be accepted from 1 to 7 August.
The opportunity for candidates to make last-minute changes to their registration will be available on 6 and 7 August. This one-time change option is a significant move by PMDC, providing candidates with the flexibility to make necessary adjustments due to unforeseen circumstances or changes in their preferences. Detailed information about universities and their venues in all provinces can be found on PMDC’s website.
This decision by PMDC is a testament to its commitment to ensuring a fair and smooth admission process for all MDCAT candidates.
