ISLAMABAD: In 2023, the Pakistan Army ranked seventh out of 145 countries in the military strength index.
According to the Military Strength Rankings 2023, the South Asian nation’s armed forces have risen in many positions in the recent three years, having been placed 15th in 2020.
The Pakistan Army previously ranked 10th, 9th, and 7th in the index, which is based on each force’s perspective war-making capacity across land, sea, and air waged using conventional means.
The top four are the United States, Russia, China, India, United Kingdom, and South Korea also ranking higher than Pakistan. Turkey’s military was ranked 11th, Australia was ranked 16th, and neighboring Iran was ranked 17th.
Military Strength Index provided a unique appearance of facts concerning current army strengths, and its conclusions include values related to people, equipment, natural resources, money, and geography represented by 60+ separate elements employed in constructing the finished GFP rankings.
