The Sindh government stated that the annual Secondary School Certificate (Matric) exams for 9th and 10th-class students would begin on May 8.
According to the information, around 700,000 male and female students will take the matric examinations in Sindh’s divisions of Hyderabad, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, and Mirpurkhas.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Ismail Rahoo has expressed worry over the province’s rising temperatures and has asked the Federal Government and K-Electric to provide an uninterrupted supply of energy throughout the examination.
He also stated that students would be given facilities such as cold water and enhanced security to avoid cheating and that they will be prevented from using mobile phones alongside lecturers during examinations.
Anyone found in breach will be held accountable, and if a student is detected cheating, stern action will be taken. Furthermore, during the examinations, the Sindh Government has implemented Section 144 around the examination centers.
