A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday by the University of Karachi, the Italian University of Naples L’Orientale, and the University for Foreigners of Perugia.
The event took place at the KU Latif Ebrahim Jamal National Science Information Centre, with representatives from both institutions signing on, including the Consul General of Italy in Karachi, Danilo Giurdanella, and KU Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi.
The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is to promote academic cooperation among participating universities by establishing collaboration programs for teaching, training, and research in a variety of fields such as science, humanities, tourism, communication, social sciences, international relations, Italian language, and culture.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding is an important step toward boosting academic links between Pakistan and Italy. It is intended to open the door for cooperative research projects, faculty exchanges, and other collaborative activities that will benefit the education sectors of both nations. Such collaborations can help to promote cultural understanding, improve students’ learning experiences, and produce innovative research.
