Elon Musk’s AI company xAI recently released an exciting new tool called Grok Imagine in its iOS app Grok. This tool can be used to create images and convert them into short videos directly by text or by using existing images. Grok users started sharing their AI versions across X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend, and Musk even tweeted and retweeted them himself.
Grok Imagine is live on iOS to Heavy and Premium+ subscribers, and Android to Heavy subscribers. It provides both text-to-image and image-to-video with sound. It brings Grok direct competition with tools as Midjourney, Google Veo 3, and Sora by OpenAI.

Grok Imagine is a new generative AI feature integrated into the Grok mobile app. It enables its users to:

- Share or download their creations
According to Musk, the tool is a meme motherlode and should be better every day, as the model evolves. Some adult-content (NSFW) features were also teased here, though details are limited yet.

How to use Grok Imagine

- Open the Grok app on your phone.
- At the top, tap the “Imagine” tab.
- Select “Create Image”.

- Text Prompt: Type a creative idea or prompt.

- Voice Mode: Tap “Speak” to speak your image idea aloud.

Grok Imagine can convert images into short video clips with sound.
- Tap an image you created or uploaded.
- Select “Make Video”.
- Choose from creative modes: Custom, Spicy, Fun, Normal.
- Wait a few seconds, and the video will appear in your feed.
Upload Your Image for Video Creation
You can also turn your photos into AI-generated videos.
- Tap the photo icon with a plus (+) sign at the bottom.
- Upload an image from your phone gallery.
- Grok will process it and generate an AI video.
