According to a statement made by the Ministry of Interior, the federal govt has announced a five-day holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr. The holidays will be from Friday, April 21 through Tuesday, April 25.
The announcement follows the acceptance of the Cabinet Division’s suggestion. In addition, the interior ministry will issue an official notification in this respect.
Due to the new moon being born on 20 April at 9:13 AM with an age of fewer than 10 hours, the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council (RHRC) predicted in April that Eid-ul-Fitr would have a low probability of happening on 21 April.
According to Mufti Khalid Ijaz, Eid-ul-Fitr may be celebrated on April 22 following the end of the holy month of Ramazan’s 30 fasting days. He stated that seeing the Shawwal moon on April 21 evening is improbable.
No New Currency Notes for Eid-ul-Fitr
Earlier, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Thursday that it will not release new notes for Eid-ul-Fitr via SMS or banks.
It is important to note that, after the epidemic of COVID-19, which had a significant impact on the country in 2020, the strategy for issuing new notes was revised.
Following the outbreak, the SBP ceased issuing new notes, which had previously been distributed to residents through SMS or banks.
