If your workplace has a DSL connection and you use a DSL modem to connect your company computers to the Internet, you might be required to use the modem’s IP address. If you don’t know your DSL modem’s IP address, you can look it up using the Command Prompt, which is included with all Windows operating systems. You may also use the Command Prompt to find more important Internet connection details.
How to Find DSL Modem IP Address
- To launch the Command Prompt, click on the Windows Start button, enter “cmd” in the Search box, then hit the “Enter” key.
- In the Command Prompt, type “ipconfig/all” and hit “Enter” to execute the command.
- Find the “Default Gateway” line. The IP address provided on the Default Gateway line is your modem’s IP address.
