Eid ul Fitr 2022 holidays in Pakistan notification

Today, the Ministry of Interior Pakistan held a conference to announce the Eid ul Fitr vacation in Pakistan year 2022. Throughout May 2022, the Minister of Interior issued a notification declaring Eid-ul-Fitr vacations in Pakistan. As a result, Punjab government employees would be given nine days off (Holiday).

Eid ul Fitr is a religious festival observed by all Muslims after Ramadan. This is the only day in the month of Shawwal when Muslims are not permitted to fast because it is a holiday. On this day, Muslims perform the collective prayer, participate in a khutba, and distribute zakat-al-Fitr to deserving poor persons. Eid ul Fitr in Pakistan this year will be on May 3, 2022. To commemorate this joyous occasion, the government has declared three public holidays in Pakistan from May 2 to May 5, 2021.

When is Eid ul Fitr 2022 in Pakistan?

Eid-ul-Fitr vacations will be held in Pakistan from May 02, 2022, to May 05, 2022. The govt will declare five public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr, which will most likely be observed on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

As per the lunar calendar provided by his government, Eid ul Fitr will fall on May 3, as per Ministry for Technology and Science. The Ruet-i-Hilal council will declare the final date.

Govt employees will receive in early for May. All companies, government departments, public areas, parks, markets, and stores will be closed during the Eid holidays, apart from necessary services.

Except for necessary services like medical stores, all companies, government departments, public areas, community parks, and shops would be closed on certain days.

On May 2, the Moon Sightings Committee will convene. According to a spokeswoman for the ministry of religious affairs, the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Council will call on May 2 for the Shawwal moon-sighting.

“Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meetings will be conducted at their separate headquarters.”
