The Punjab government has decided to pay the salaries of its employees well in advance before Eid ul Adha 2024.
This desired step has been taken as per directives from Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif during Eid ul Adha, another major Islamic occasion on which Muslims sacrifice animals.
Punjab Govt June Salary 2024
In compliance with the orders of the Punjab Chief Minister, the Finance Department has initiated the process of salaries which would be completed by 13, 2024, so that employees have all the required funds in their hands to spend it on Eid.
The advance disbursement of pay is an effort to keep up with inflation and provide financial benefits to government employees during festive days.
Eid ul Adha is a time for Muslims to buy animals to sacrifice as a reminder of the devotion of Hazrat Ibrahim. Animals such as goats, sheep, cows, and camels are selected according to cultural and financial criteria.
Eid ul Adha Holidays 2024
The official holiday will also be observed from June 17 to 19, 2024, as per the official holiday Ease of Doing Business 2024 for Eid ul Adha. Since government offices are usually off at weekends, the Eid holiday will extend effectively from June 15 to let the employees celebrate the big occasion with their families.
