Ghazanfar Azzam Steps Down as CEO of Mobilink Bank After a Distinguished 12-Year Tenure

Ghazanfar Azzam, the president and CEO of Mobilink Bank, has decided to step down after an impressive 12-year tenure. Mobilink Bank reached new heights and solidified its place as a leader in the Microfinance industry while he was in charge. Azzam led the Bank’s quick move to digital, which made it more financially stable, business-resistant, and ready for the future.

Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Mobilink Bank, has been named Interim CEO by the Board of Directors (BoD). He will take over on April 29, 2024, as long as the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) gives his approval.

The Board has initiated the search for the next CEO, who will be tasked with continuing to propel the Bank’s mission forward and ensuring sustained success in the long run.

Aamir Ibrahim, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mobilink Bank and CEO of Jazz, expressed his gratitude towards Ghazanfar Azzam for his invaluable service throughout the years. He extended best wishes to Azzam in his future endeavors, affirming the Board’s dedication to executing a seamless transition process and upholding the exceptional standards of service and integrity that are synonymous with Mobilink Bank.
