Motorola Razr+ 2024 Leak Reveals Familiar Design with Upgrades

Motorola is reportedly planning to launch the Razr+ (2024) clamshell foldable phone in the first half of 2024, according to a leaked render obtained by MSPowerUser. The render reveals that Motorola is sticking to a similar design as the 2023 Razr+ model, with a new gray/silver colorway option.

While the overall look remains the same, some hardware improvements may be under the hood. Motorola could opt for the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, upgrading from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in the previous iteration. The cameras are also expected to be upgraded, although design constraints could limit changes.

The source suggests the 2024 Razr+ will launch on Verizon in the U.S., unlike its predecessor. As for timing, a first-half launch would align with the June release of the 2023 model. However, Motorola may aim for an earlier release to avoid competing with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 6 expected in Q3.

It’s unclear if the cheaper Razr (2023) non-plus model will also see a 2024 refresh. The $700 mid-range foldable offers great value, although it lacks some premium features of the plus variant like the larger cover screen. If the Razr+ launches in early 2024, an updated standard Razr likely isn’t far behind.

The leaked render of the Motorola Razr+ (2024) shows a familiar design but with hints of internal upgrades. Motorola seems to be sticking to its successful modern flip phone formula while subtly refining the internals. Further details on specs, pricing, and availability remain to be seen as the launch nears.

The Motorola Razr+ may get a replacement later this year, but before then, it will reign supreme among clamshell foldable devices. With that in thoughts, there’s no better time than now to purchase one, especially at the current price.
