Sidhu Moose Wala has posthumously graced his fans with a new song titled ‘Watch Out.’ The track was released on his YouTube channel during the festive period of Diwali and quickly became a viral sensation.
Within just 30 hours of its release, ‘Watch Out’ had already amassed over 10 million views and received 1.80 million likes, reflecting the enduring popularity and impact of Moose Wala’s music.
The song features themes that are characteristic of Moose Wala’s style—animosity, vengeance, and weaponry. It opens with powerful lines that set a tone of defiance and celebration of revenge, stating, “We carry either rifles or funerals on the shoulder.
For us, revenge or vengeance is a festive celebration.” The lyrics continue to weave a narrative of strength and warning, with no mercy promised to adversaries. The song even makes specific references to a semi-automatic Turkish-made pistol, Zigana, adding a gritty realism to the lyrical content.
‘Watch Out’ stands as the fifth posthumous release from Sidhu Moose Wala, who was also an artist-turned-politician. Notably, the song does not feature any video of artists but instead uses visuals of a tiger to enhance the thematic resonance. Moose Wala’s distinctive voice is paired with Sikander Kahlon, who shares credit for the lyrics and composition.
Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants near his native village of Musa in the Mansa district of Punjab on May 4, 2020. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has linked the weapons used in his assassination to a Pakistani arms supplier based in Dubai a Canada-based aide of Bishnoi.
The murder plan came to light after Moose Wala’s security was downgraded, and despite the tragic circumstances surrounding his death, his music continues to resonate with listeners around the world.
The release of ‘Watch Out’ not only pays tribute to Sidhu Moose Wala’s legacy but also solidifies his status as a cultural icon in the Punjabi music scene. His artistry remains influential, leaving a lasting imprint on his fans and the music industry alike.
