Calculate official vehicle token tax, MVT, income tax, and professional tax instantly.
Tax Breakdown
Working out Punjab’s vehicle token tax by hand means checking multiple rate tables at once, engine capacity, filer status, and any pending penalty. This calculator brings all of that into one simple form.
Enter your vehicle details once, and it applies the correct 2026-27 rate automatically, whether that’s a fixed amount or a percentage of your invoice price. The result is a clear, itemised total you can trust before you visit the excise office.
What this calculator does
This tool works out your token tax, MVT, income tax, and professional tax together. Pick your vehicle and slab, and get the full amount in one go.
Invoice-based slabs
Some engine slabs are taxed as a percentage of the invoice price, not a fixed amount. The calculator asks for the invoice price only when it’s needed.
Filer vs non-filer
Filers pay a lower income tax rate on their vehicle than non-filers. Select your status and the correct rate is applied automatically.
Late token penalty
A pending or late token adds a penalty on top of the base tax. Mark your token as late to see this extra amount included in your total.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the official Excise & Taxation rate?
The calculator follows the Punjab Excise & Taxation Department’s 2026-27 schedule. For a final, binding figure, always confirm with your local excise office before paying.
What counts as a filer or non-filer?
A filer is someone listed on the FBR’s Active Taxpayers List (ATL) for the current year. Non-filers are not on this list and pay a higher income tax rate on vehicle tokens.
Do motorcycles pay this tax every year?
Most motorcycles in Punjab are charged a one-time lifetime token tax at registration. Select “Motor Cycle (Lifetime)” in the engine slab field to calculate this amount.
What happens if I enter the invoice price incorrectly?
The invoice price directly changes your tax total for percentage-based slabs. Use the amount from your original sale invoice or registration book for an accurate result.
Can I use this for a commercial vehicle?
Yes. Select “Commercial Vehicle” as the vehicle type, then choose the matching engine slab. Professional tax is included automatically where it applies.
Why is my late penalty higher than expected?
Late penalties are usually calculated per month or quarter of delay, so the longer a token stays unpaid, the higher the penalty grows. Paying sooner keeps this amount lower.
