No Nut November (NNN) 2022 Origin, Meaning, Rules

NNN, commonly known as No Nut November, involves abstaining from self-indulgence for an entire month. Every year on November 1, thousands of participants start NNN.

Men should avoid touching themselves at all costs, or “bust a nut”. They have to follow this challenge for the whole month of November.

Now here comes the answer to the question of how it originated and took over the internet as a phenomenon.

Clarified: No nut Nov original

According to Know Your Meme, this crazy NNN trend started in 2011. The trend was later added to Urban Dictionary on November 3, 2011. “Bicboi6969696969” was the person who started the NNN trend online.

The man called it a challenge in which men must refrain from touching themselves for the entire month of November. Surprisingly, the challenge quickly gained popularity online and was widely accepted.

But it wasn’t until 2017, six years later, that the acceptance of the challenge saw a surge of internet attention, especially on Twitter, and the trend began to take off. Since then, NNN has taken the internet by storm and gained popularity on Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, and various other social media platforms.

Who started the nine-nut rules for November?

A simple online joke or meme that some people liked served as the origin of the trend. Since then it has become a full-fledged challenge with very strict rules.

According to Know Your Meme, on November 1, 2018, a user known as yeval posted the guidelines on the “r/nonutnovember” subreddit. There are a total of 2,600 votes and 575 comments in support of the original rules. However, their variants have gained popularity on social media.

Coupon for No Nut November Pass

Recently, an entirely new element of the challenge has emerged: the NNN pass, commonly known as the coupon. Simply put, a man is allowed to touch himself once during the month of November without failing the test.

The challenge can then be continued, but according to Urban Dictionary, you can only use the pass once, and it must be presented to you by a woman. Men will also need proof that a girl has given them permission to continue on No Nut November.
