The Federal Ministry of Education said on Monday that the first group of Pakistani students studying at Chinese universities will be returning home shortly.
Rana Tanveer Husain said Monday that he has met with authorities from the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aviation Division, and China’s Cultural Counselor to get trapped Pakistani students back home.
During the COVID-19 epidemic, the students returned to Pakistan.
As a result of these discussions, it was decided to begin the process of bringing back Pakistani students as soon as possible in collaboration with the Chinese government.
The lists of Pakistani students returning to China to continue their education were also released by the HEC.
The Federal Minister of Education has directed that a specially chartered plane be organized to transport Pakistani students back to China safely.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is making it easier for Pakistani students to get visas right now.
There have already been 96 visas issued, according to Zhang Heqing from the Chinese Embassy. A chartered flight to China would need permission from the Chinese government, which would be given by the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad.
