The officials in Islamabad were trying to put out a fire in the Margalla forest when TikToker Dolly’s video of the blaze went viral on the social media site TikTok.
They slammed TikToker who used Pasoori’s renowned song as the background music while filming in front of the charred trees of the Margalla Hills in Karachi.
The Assistant Director of Protection for the Capital Development Authority’s Environment Department filed a police report at the Kohsar Police Station, pleading for stern action against TikToker.
Humans and birds alike face grave danger from the wildlife fire, which is threatening both their nests in the trees and the calm environment they depend on to survive.
Activist against climate change Rina Saeed wrote on Twitter, “Those who set woods on fire don’t realize the damage they inflict to wildlife! During Margalla’s bird mating season, their ground nests have been destroyed by fire. They can’t even escape! After recent fires in the Haripur area, the KP forest department has handed us this video.”
