As fighting continues between Russian and Ukrainian forces, a miraculous incident was captured by a dash cam, showing a car landing on a busy road in Kiev with part of a missile fired by Russia. A direct hit — no one was killed. Or injured in a rare freak incident.
The video shows one of the missiles landing on traffic lights before hitting the ground and exploding, destroying the object’s electronic components.
After it hit the ground, the small area caught fire and clouds of black smoke rose into the sky.
The way the missile fell suggests it was intercepted by air defenses before reaching its target, BBC News reported.
Officials collected the fallen components of the missile for investigation.
Ukraine’s military intelligence chief warned against a quick response to the missile attacks on Kiev.
Gen. Krylo Budanov said Monday’s attacks failed to scare the city’s residents, who were just going about their daily lives.
Officials said all “missiles were shot down and no casualties were reported.”
In the two nights since Monday’s attacks, nearly 16 drone strikes have been carried out on Kiev this month.
General Budanov said his aim was to ‘trouble’ Russian supporters by telling them that the townspeople had not been phased by the attack and had continued to operate afterwards.
“All those who tried to intimidate us, dreaming that it would have any effect, you will regret it very soon,” he added in a statement published by Ukraine’s intelligence ministry. .’
‘Our answer will not be long.’
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised the country’s air defense forces on Sunday after the capital was hit by the biggest drone strike since the offensive began.
Most of the drones launched by Russia were intercepted after military commanders said, ‘You’re heroes,’ Zelensky said.
