Emily Blunt has said she doesn’t want her children to pursue acting because the industry is toxic for women.

The 40-year-old also said that her big Hollywood success is still not ‘exciting’ for her children, and that she is ‘completely detached’ from her popularity.
“When I see myself on a billboard, I’m completely detached from it… I’m like, who is that? And I can see my kids doing the same thing – they can say There are, oh, mamas, but it’s not exciting for them.
What’s exciting for them is when I pick them up from school and take them for a swim,” the actor added.
Moreover, the actor went a step further and added that he discouraged aspiring heroines after his terrible experience in Hollywood.
“My toes curl when people tell me, “My daughter wants to be an actress.” I want to say, “Don’t do it!”
“Because it’s a tough industry and it can be very frustrating,” she continued. A lot of people tell you not to take things personally – but it’s completely personal, especially when you’re being judged on how you look. So you just have to put up with that side of things.’
Blunt married John Krasinski in 2010 and shared two children.
