Variety has confirmed that Anna Shay is a cast member of the Netflix reality show. Billing Empiredied at the age of 62 after suffering a stroke.
Born in Japan to American businessman Edward Shea and half-Japanese, half-Russian Io Ozumi Shea, Anna’s father was the founder of Pacific Architects and Engineers, a global defense contractor.
Shay’s family released a statement announcing her death, saying, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Anna Shay, a loving mother, grandmother, charismatic star, and brightest ray of sunshine, has passed away at 62. Died of a stroke at the age of 10. Anna taught us many life lessons, how not to take life too seriously and enjoy the finer things. Her impact on our lives will be remembered forever but Will never be forgotten.”
Anna’s Billing Empire Co-star Kevin Kreider took to Instagram to remember her: “So unexpected and wishful thinking that when I saw you last lunch I took a moment to smell the roses and have one with you. Last adventure.”
After her father’s death in 1995, Anna Shea’s brother Alan took over as CEO of Pacific Architects. The siblings later sold the company to Lockheed Martin in 2006, making them heirs to the family fortune.
