A man from Bolivia who claimed to be missing. In Amazon Describes how he survived for a month alone by eating insects and worms, collecting water in his shoes, and drinking his own urine.
If confirmed, 30-year-old Jonathan Acosta would be one of Amazon’s longest-lived.
“It helped a lot to learn survival techniques: I had to eat bugs, drink my own urine, eat bugs,” he said. Unitel TV On Tuesday, he added that he had been attacked by animals.
In late January, Acosta’s family reported her missing. He was on a hunting trip in the Amazon jungle with four friends when he lost contact with them on January 25.

Acosta told Unitel that he collected what rain he could with his rubber boots. Half the rain fell when he was lost. When the sky became dry, he was also forced to drink his own urine.
Acosta said that if it hadn’t rained, he wouldn’t have survived in the vast forest.
“I asked God for rain.”
Acosta claimed to have wandered about 40 kilometers (25 mi) in search of civilization before traveling in circles. During his struggle, he reportedly lost 17 kg and broke his ankle.
He also claimed that he was bitten by a variety of different animals while out at night. His sister Milady Acosta said he had a fight with a pig, a wild and dangerous animal, and a tiger was also hiding nearby. Unitel TVAccording to CBS.
He told the station that he was very happy and grateful to be reunited with his family.
Another well-known case in Bolivia involved Israeli explorer Yossi Ghinsberg, who served as the model for the Daniel Radcliffe film Jungle in 1981 after surviving three weeks in the Amazon.
Pilot Antonio Senna spent 38 days in the jungle after crash landing in Brazil in 2021. The following year, two boys, ages 7 and 9, who had been lost for 25 days in the Brazilian rainforest were found and rescued.
