Gwyneth Paltrow clears up confusion after backlash over her wellness routine
gave Shakespeare in Love The actress addressed claims she was endorsing a ‘restrictive’ diet following her appearance on The Art of Being Well podcast.
“I think it’s important for everyone to know that I was doing the podcast with my doctor, so this is someone I’ve been working with for two years to deal with some chronic things,” Gwyneth explained in a statement on March 17. The video was posted on her Instagram stories. “I’ve had Covid for a long time, and the way it manifests for me is a very high level of inflammation over time.”
The 50-year-old clarified that he has worked with podcast host Dr. “Really focus on foods that aren’t inflammatory,” says Will Cole, a functional medicine practitioner.
“It’s based on my clinical findings and the extensive testing I’ve done over time,” the Oscar winner noted. “It was a transparent look at the conversations between me and my doctors, not intended as advice for anyone else. It’s really worked for me. It’s been very powerful and very positive.”
Following the release of the March 13 episode of the podcast with Goop Bani, several nutritionists disapproved of Paltrow’s diet.
However, the Oscar winner clarified matters on his Instagram:
“It’s not like I eat like this, all day,” she added. “Well, I eat a lot more than just bone broth and vegetables. I eat whole foods, and I have a lot of days where I can eat whatever I want and French fries and whatever. Eat healthy and stuff like that. That really calms down the system.”
