Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting said on Friday that he and his wife Erin Holland are back for the people and culture of Pakistan.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a training camp with the Karachi Kings as the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) draws to a close, Cutting said he “loves” coming to the country.
“We look forward to it every year. […] The Australian player said that coming back to the PSL and the country Pakistan, the hospitality and the cricket… it’s great.
The cricketer has been a part of the PSL for the past five seasons. After representing Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators last season, Cutting will represent Kings in the PSL this year.
Holland, on the other hand, will return to the PSL as a presenter. She will be a presenter on the PSL 8 commentary panel along with renowned Pakistani presenter Zainab Abbas.
New Franchise
Cutting is looking forward to a new challenge in PSL 8. “Yes, it’s a new franchise and obviously another challenge. I’m really looking forward to it,” he said.
“The PSL has always been tough in terms of quality. Local bowlers dominate here and that really sets this league apart from others around the world,” he highlighted.
The Australian cricketer said that his franchise will definitely miss the presence of world’s best batsman Babar Azam.
The Kings traded Babar for veteran Zalmi cricketer Shoaib Malik. The two teams will begin their PSL 8 campaign against each other on February 14 in Karachi.
