Coldplay frontman Chris Martin hailed Rihanna as “the best singer of all time” ahead of her highly-anticipated performance at the Super Bowl LVII halftime show.
Rihanna, 34, will take to the Super Bowl LVII halftime show stage live for the first time in five years.
Martin, 45, said in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 that he’s excited for Ririe’s performance at the Super Bowl show.
“I don’t know Rihanna that well. I’m basically just a fan, and we’ve performed with her a few times, and you’re right, it’s rare and rare for her to sing alone, that’s why. That makes it even more special, and in a weird way, it shows that she really, really wants to do it,” she said.
Rihanna and Coldplay previously collaborated on the song Princess of China in 2012 and performed at that year’s Grammys.
Martin added, “No one can force Rihanna to do anything at this point, and so I think the fact that she’s chosen to do it now, when she can’t be stoic.” .. that she’s the best singer ever. So it’s hard for me, I’m so biased because I’m such a huge Rihanna fan. I mean, I think she can just go out and sing in sweatpants. , and it’s just awesome.”
Rihanna will perform at the Super Bowl show on February. 12.
