LAHORE: A day after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) made its announcement Nominees Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a consultative meeting for the interim Chief Minister of Punjab, in which the political strategy and names suggested by Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi will be considered.
The Prime Minister will preside over the meeting at his residence Model Town in the provincial capital.
The main leaders of Pakistan Muslim League (N) including Federal Ministers Ishaq Dar, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Azam Nazir Tarar, Malik Ahmad Khan and Atta Tarar reached the meeting hall.
The names proposed by PTI are likely to be discussed in the meeting. Caretaker Chief Minister And finalize the opposition’s nominees for the top spot.
On Sunday, Pervez Elahi said that Ahmed Nawaz Sukhira, Naseer Ahmed Khan and Naseer Saeed Khosa have been finalized for caretaker chief minister of Punjab after the approval of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
He claimed that one of the three names is likely to be finalised.
The provincial chief executive added on his official Twitter handle, “We are sending these names. [Punjab] If the governor and the opposition think broadly, there is a possibility of agreement on the proposed names.

Elahi will continue to hold the post of Chief Minister of Punjab until the name for the Caretaker Chief Minister is finalized.
