Instead of accepting responsibility for its poor governance, PPP has taken a turn by blaming Imran Khan for all the problems in Sindh, Zaidi said at the PTI Sindh Secretariat on Monday. Addressing a news conference regarding January 15 in Karachi and Hyderabad.
Zaidi was accompanied by Mehmood Maulvi MNA, PTI Women Wing Pakistan General Secretary Saima Nadeem and PTI Sindh Vice President Arsalan Agha.
The PTI Sindh President expressed his satisfaction over the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold the local body elections in Karachi and Hyderabad on January 15, 2023 as per the schedule, and he expressed the enthusiasm of the people of Karachi. Zaidi said that in the political history of Pakistan, no political party has received such a strong response from the public to its membership drive. This clearly shows the passion and commitment of the people of Karachi towards former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He questioned whether it is Khan Sahib’s fault that Karachi and other urban centers of Sindh look like villages.
“Is it Imran Khan’s fault that the quality of primary education in Sindh is the worst in Pakistan? Or is it Imran Khan’s fault that rural poverty is 75 percent and public health facilities are poor? Is it the murder of journalists in Sindh and Imran Khan’s fault in the deteriorating crime situation in Karachi?
Regarding local body elections to be held in Karachi and Hyderabad on January 15, PTI Sindh president appealed to ECP, DG Sindh Rangers, police and local administration to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections.
Citing reliable sources, Zaidi expressed fear that other political parties may resort to bloodshed through violence and chaos to intimidate voters into rigging the results, as they believe in free and fair elections. Can’t beat TI.
Additionally, Zaidi requested the ECP to declare all polling stations in Karachi and Hyderabad as “sensitive” and have army or Sindh Rangers presence inside and outside each polling station.
PTI Sindh President said that the country and Karachi cannot afford chaos and political engineering at this time in history. Besides, the PTI leader expressed his belief that the PTI will win the local body elections with a huge majority.
