Islamabad: Former Army Chief General (Rtd) Qamar Javed Bajwa Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Malik Ahmad Khan claimed to have wanted “clear-cut impartiality” as he believed Imran Khan and his team had failed to perform despite full support. News Reported
During the speech Geo News Program”Jirga“, the Special Assistant said he had evidence of how Khan General (retd) escaped disqualification due to Bajwa, he said, adding that Jahangir Tareen, Khan’s former colleague, was targeted because of him.
Malik added that the former army chief felt that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief had treated Malik badly.
He said that money trail was not provided in the Bani Gala case but the details of Niazi Services and Jemima Khan’s gift were submitted.
He said that former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar changed the 70-year-old jurisdiction. The Bani Gala affair
Last month, Malik had also claimed that the former COAS had influenced Nisar to support the PTI chief in the Bani Gala House case.
However, the former Chief Justice termed the claim as baseless and baseless. He said that the former army chief never directly or indirectly influenced his decisions.
Saqib said that Puri Bani Gala was constructed illegally, and the suit was for regularization of all the properties in the premises.
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry also rejected SAPM’s claim saying that the COAS’s control over the Chief Justice is a serious allegation. He demanded that the Supreme Court Registrar take notice of the claims.
Regarding the regularization of Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence, he said that the PTI chairman built his house in the area when there were no rules to regularize such constructions. Sources close to the retired COAS said that General (retd) Bajwa never contacted Chaudhry Nisar or the judiciary in this matter. However, they allege that a key intelligence officer shielded Khan from impeachment.
NRO to Imran Khan
Malik also claimed that General (R) Bajwa had given NRO to Khan..
