Australian News Outlet Fox Cricket The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took down its “unsubstantiated” story after the publication criticized it for publishing unsubstantiated “personal allegations” against national team captain Babar Azam.
The board responded to the story after the cricket website shared it on its official Twitter handle.
In the story, Fox Cricket Babar had claimed that Babar was involved in having sex with a “mate’s girlfriend”.
“As our media partner, you may have considered ignoring such unsubstantiated personal allegations that Babar Azam did not deem fit to answer,” the board tweeted.
However, after criticism from the PCB, the Australian publication deleted the tweet and removed the story.
The Pakistan captain is yet to comment on the allegations and has chosen to remain silent on the matter.

“The account, which is a parody page, then removed the original tweet ad and publicly apologized to Babar,” the report added.
This is not the first time that Babar has faced such allegations.
In November 2020, a woman made serious allegations against the batsman and approached a Lahore court for legal action.
After which the court directed the police to file a complaint against Babar. However, the Lahore High Court suspended the order of the Sessions Court in 2021.
