BigHit Music released an official statement requesting fans to refrain from sending gifts and letters to BTS members during military training.
“Jin is stationed at a training center specifically for military training with regular military personnel,” the music agency said in a statement posted on fan community forum Weavers.
“If a large number of fan letters and gifts arrive at the center at once, it will be difficult to store them and they can easily be lost. We ask that you please do not send anything by mail. Avoid,” the agency said.
“Please refrain from sending letters and gifts even after he completes his military recruit training and is stationed at his military base,” Big Hit requested.
The agency continued, “BigHit Music will help ensure that any kind and warm message Jin personally can see fans using the #Dear_Jin_from_ARMY hashtag on Virus.”
The oldest member of BTS, who enlisted for mandatory military service in South Korea on December 13, 2022, and will spend 18 months as an active duty soldier.
