The Punjab government on Wednesday relaxed the uniform policy as a precautionary measure in view of severe cold weather.
According to the notification issued in this regard Provincial Govt Private schools policy was revised for January and February.
“All male and female students will be allowed to wear any jackets, sweaters, socks and shoes in this extreme weather,” the notification said.
Meanwhile, the federal government also issued an advisory for precautionary measures in view of the weather.
“Due to severe cold weather in Islamabad, all private educational institutions in Islamabad will observe opening hours earlier than 8:30 am during the months of January and February,” the Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training said. Notification issued from read
The advisory added that managements of private educational institutes may also relax the same policy and allow students to wear “any sweater, blazer, coat, jacket” during the said months to keep students warm. could
Additionally, the working hours from 11 January 2023 have also been notified. The timings are as follows:
For single shift establishments:
- 8:30 am to 2:30 pm (Monday to Thursday)
- 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (Friday)
For double shift establishments:
Morning Shift:
- 8 am to 1:30 pm (Monday to Thursday)
- 8 am to 12:30 pm (Friday)
Evening Shift:
- 1:30pm to 7pm (Monday to Thursday)
- 2:30pm to 7pm (Friday)
