Blake Shelton has reportedly quit music show The Voice to spend quality time with his wife Gwen Stefani and their three stepsons.
“If I walk away from my career now, the only thing I risk is regretting that I’m missing out on something more important in life. It’s not about me now and never has been.” .,’ the country’s badass said in his People cover story hitting newsstands Friday.
The 46-year-old musician added: “I’ve made a lot of money, but you can’t buy time back. So that’s what I want to invest in right now. For now, it’s our kids. Even though I’m a stepmom, I take this job very seriously. And the kids see me as nothing more than a very important person in their lives. I take that to heart.”
The singer said: “Every kid has something different to teach me. I think they’ve taught me something about myself. I’m just a country singer and a goofy guy. I’m the one who has that reality.” I lean in and it’s not a responsibility I’ve ever had nor something I’ve ever thought about.”
Blake Shelton started dating his Voice co-star Gwen three months after he legally split from ex-wife #2 Miranda Lambert in July 2015 after four years of wedded bliss.
Blake Shelton wants to spend more quality time with his third wife, Gwen Stefani, and his three stepsons. Her decision may upset some of her ardent fans who have always wanted to see her sing for themselves.
