Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been called out for trying to ‘charge a bit too freely’.
This allegation has been issued by Stephen Bates, a member of the Australian House of Representatives.
This comes in his latest piece for the Guardian and reads, “They blame a little too freely.”
“Some, albeit remote, coverage of Harry and Meghan in some tabloids, particularly their bete noir, the Daily Mail, has been quite scathing – but it should be clear that many headlines are flashing across the screen. The documentaries are not from the British media, but scandal sheets such as the National Enquirer in the US.
“The vendetta by Meghan’s friends – ‘The Truth About Meghan’ – was also planted in People magazine.”
Mr Bates also noted, “I get some elements of what he says. I don’t recognize the ‘constant briefing’ of royal correspondents, and the endless stories.
“I remember it was quite difficult to get any information from the palace and to get briefings about royal visits. The media picked things up: it quickly understood that all was not well between the royal brothers or Meghan. Shouldn’t they have reported this?”
